Investing is risky. You might not know what you'll earn, it could be hard to sell, you might own less, unexpected things can happen, and you could lose all your money.

SCRUT Technology

Scrut Technology (“SCRUT”) operates SCRUT.my (www.scrut.my), Malaysia’s leading consumer vehicle-history report platform. Founded in 2019, SCRUT was built to solve a long-standing problem in the Malaysian used-car market: buyers often have little reliable information about a vehicle’s past. Through SCRUT.my, buyers, dealers and importers get a clear view of a car’s history before they commit to a purchase.
Over the years, SCRUT has built a substantial body of proprietary vehicle data. The company is now extending that data beyond the point of sale into a full car ownership ecosystem, one that serves car owners, workshops and the wider automotive trade throughout a vehicle’s life. Each part of the ecosystem feeds and strengthens the others. Every report, service record and inspection adds to SCRUT’s data, making the platform more valuable to everyone who uses it.
The ecosystem is built on three products that share one vehicle record:

SCRUT Car History Reports gives buyers, dealers and importers a verified history before purchase.

SCRUT Garage app gives owners a single place to manage their cars, from service history and reminders to renewals and resale.

SCRUT Workshop Management System (WMS) helps workshops run their daily operations, maintain a verified service record and register the car owner on the app.
Our ambition is to be for vehicles what CTOS is for credit: the trusted reference point for vehicle information, starting in Malaysia and then expanding across Southeast Asia.
A car's life is never written down
Malaysia has one of the region's highest rates of vehicle ownership, a large network of independent workshops, and a busy used-car market. Yet there is no single trusted source of vehicle history, condition and service data. Buyers, sellers, insurers, financiers and workshops all make decisions based on partial information.

No bank would approve a loan without a CTOS report. Yet most used cars in Malaysia change hands without any vehicle report at all.
This lack of trusted information costs everyone. Owners overpay for servicing, buyers take on hidden risks, and workshops miss out on customers they could have served. What the market needs is a single, reliable record of every car’s life, one that all parties can trust.
What CTOS did for people, SCRUT does for cars
One trusted record per vehicle, built every time it is serviced, checked or sold. SCRUT aggregates data from workshops, inspections, owners, crowdsources, and other reliable sources into a proprietary vehicle record and sells access to it — first as consumer reports, now as the operating layer for the whole ownership journey. Three products share one record:
SCRUT Car History Report
Our established consumer product. Before buying a used car, buyers can check its history on SCRUT.my by entering the registration or chassis number. Each report shows key records such as accident claims, flood and total-loss history, theft reports, auction history and reported mileage, helping buyers spot hidden problems and negotiate a fair price. Reports are purchased individually, with no subscription needed.
FOR CAR BUYERS
One trusted record per car — built every time it is serviced, checked or sold.

SCRUT Garage App
A banking app for your car. Just as a banking app shows your balance and transactions in one place, the Garage App gives owners a complete view of their car. It runs health checks that flag what needs attention before it turns into a costly breakdown, and sends reminders when maintenance is due. Every service is saved to the car’s digital record, which stays with the vehicle even when it changes hands, helping well-kept cars prove their value at resale. Owners can also find vetted workshops nearby, book a service and pay directly in the app, with no more calling around.
FOR CAR OWNERS
Like a banking app for your car — history, health check and booking in one place.

Every service, fuel-up and modification logged

Book and Pay Nearby

SCRUT WMS + Node
A complete operating system for independent workshops. It replaces the notebooks and spreadsheets most workshops still rely on, bringing job cards, customer records and invoicing into one simple system. Through the Node, workshops are connected to the SCRUT Garage App, giving them an online channel for the first time. They can list and sell service packages directly to car owners in the app, and receive new jobs when a nearby car needs a repair they are equipped to handle. Every job completed is recorded automatically, helping workshops build lasting customer relationships while adding to each car’s service history.
FOR WORKSHOPS
We replace the notebook — and send the workshop customers.

Every job done on SCRUT writes a verified line into that car's record — the Digital Passport nobody else can build. Listings, Integrity Inspection and Extended Warranty are layered on top of the same record and routed back through the SCRUT workshop network.
Others own the day a car is sold. SCRUT owns the years in between
SCRUT is building for vehicles what CTOS built for credit: the trusted record that every buyer, seller, workshop and insurer relies on. Unlike competitors who touch the car at a single moment, we serve owners and workshops for the whole life of the vehicle, on a profitable core business with a built-in customer base.

Seven revenue streams across two data verticals
SCRUT makes money in three ways from the same vehicle record: data reports sold to consumers (B2C), software subscriptions sold to workshops (B2B SaaS), and a share of transactions on its marketplace (B2B2C). All seven revenue streams are priced, and each is either live or scheduled to launch:

*Projected Revenue FY2028/2029
A shift towards recurring revenue
By FY2028/29, SCRUT projects that Car History Reports will contribute 25% of revenue, with platform products making up the remaining 75%. WMS subscriptions and per-invoice fees are contracted and recurring. Revenue from the Garage App, listings, inspections and warranties is expected to grow with the number of workshops and users on the network, not with marketing spend.
In Phase 2, SCRUT plans to license Digital Passport data to insurers, banks and fleet operators, in the same way CTOS licenses credit data.
How the flywheel works
Each workshop on our system sends ~1,200 invoices a year; 30% of those car owners join the app at zero marketing cost.

Each workshop is worth about RM9,600 in annual recurring revenue from WMS alone, before any revenue from app transactions, inspections or warranties it generates.
From a RM40 million market to a RM30 billion one
Reports are the entry point. The ecosystem captures what owners spend every year after the sale.

Malaysia first, then Southeast Asia
SCRUT’s plan runs in three phases: build the ecosystem, issue the Digital Passport, then expand across the border.

Workshop, user and revenue figures are targets at the end of each phase, based on FY2027, FY2028 and FY2029 projections in the KIAMB Valuation Report (financial year ending 30 June). Projections are not guaranteed.
Growth driven by workshops, not marketing
SCRUT grows through its workshop network, not through paid advertising:
On this model, SCRUT targets 2,800 workshops and 2.5 million ecosystem users by FY2030/31.
Seven years of proof — audited
Malaysians already pay for vehicle data. We are funding the next product for customers we already have.

Revenue grows 52% a year — half of it is profit by FY2029
Years 1–2 fund the build; from FY2029 costs revert to policy and scale drops straight into EBITDA.

The road to the ACE Market
One RM5 million round funds the plan; SCRUT lists on Bursa Malaysia in FY2031 with no further equity before the IPO.

What It Means for Investors
At a post-money valuation of RM100 million, the base-case exit delivers a 5.2x money multiple and a gross IRR of 39% over five years. An investment of RM10,000 buys 105 shares, or 0.01% of the Company, which would be worth approximately RM51,982 at exit.
If the Company were instead valued at the listed-peer average multiple of 30x, the same holding would be worth approximately RM128,895, a 12.9x return.
An exit could also come through a trade sale to a regional automotive platform or data company.
These figures are illustrative projections based on the forecast above. They are not guaranteed, and investors could lose some or all of their investment.
